The Portes du Soleil is a cross-border ski area that stretches for 660km, so Morzine is ideal for newbies as well as specialists.
The picturesque tree-lined tracks around the alpine village of Morzine are perfect for beginners to get to grips with skiing while taking in gorgeously rural views. Meanwhile, the rolling pistes of the Portes du Soleil stretch are perfect for thrill-seekers.
If you’re a skilled maverick, we recommend challenging yourself with the Chammosière unpisted black run, the steepest in the Alps. Still hungry for a bigger and better challenge? The Swiss Wall, known as the scariest ski run ever, is the place for you. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

There are so many hangout spots and buzzing bars here, it would take us a while to go through them in detail. But we also know that the best way to get to know the nightlife of an area is to experience it, and you’ll have 11 whole weeks to do just that!
