What’s the deal with the slopes?

The Portes du Soleil is a cross-border ski area that stretches for 660km, so Morzine is ideal for newbies as well as specialists.

The picturesque tree-lined tracks around the alpine village of Morzine are perfect for beginners to get to grips with skiing while taking in gorgeously rural views. Meanwhile, the rolling pistes of the Portes du Soleil stretch are perfect for thrill-seekers.

If you’re a skilled maverick, we recommend challenging yourself with the Chammosière unpisted black run, the steepest in the Alps. Still hungry for a bigger and better challenge? The Swiss Wall, known as the scariest ski run ever, is the place for you. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

We’ve partnered with only the best hotels for your stay. We’ve chosen the rely renovated Hotel Dents Blanches for your 11-week stay. The accommodation is run by the awesome team at Hideout who run a variety of bars, restaurants and other properties within the area, meaning you’re guaranteed a personal, warm and friendly welcome with an abundance of experience at hand to help with every need.

For those essential lazy days, the resort has a lounge complete with cosy couches, pool table, on site apres bar with weekly events such as all you can eat pizza, DJ nights, apres parties and much more. Perfect for when you want to stay ‘home’ and enjoy the on site entertainment or on the quieter nights a place to relax and chill.

We know the last thing you want when you’re away from home is to cook for yourself. That’s why the resort offers a two-course evening meal and a daily delicious continental breakfast.

We know you’re here for a cultural, educational experience, but it wouldn’t be the same without a world-class nightlife, would it? Because when you sign up to a Basecamp ski course experience, you don’t just get the education. You get to live out some of the best nights of your life.

You’ll be pleased to know that Morzine is renowned for being a bit of a party village – yes, really! As lively during the day as it is all through the night, you certainly won’t have a boring experience here.

There are so many hangout spots and buzzing bars here, it would take us a while to go through them in detail. But we also know that the best way to get to know the nightlife of an area is to experience it, and you’ll have 11 whole weeks to do just that! You’ll have your favourite bars and clubs worked out within the first few weeks, we’re sure of it.
