Snowmobiling in Canada

We’ve had another amazing week out here in Canada on the 11 week Instructor Course, training for the level2 is well under way which means the guys are now focused on some more advanced teaching and riding skill development. The weather has been co-operating this week, bringing us lots of sunshine and warm temperatures, it’s a little taste of what spring is all about at Lake Louise. We mixed things up a little bit this week, on Friday we packed up the group and headed 2 hours west to the town of Golden British Columbia for a snowmobile trip. We met up with our friends at White and Wild tours at their HQ which is pretty much in the middle of the woods. From there we ascended over 1000 meters up into the alpine and once there proceeded to rip around on all the back trails and snowed in riverbeds. They put on an amazing BBQ lunch for us complete with some s’mores for dessert. Some of the local wildlife even turned up for lunch, you have to check out the video to see how friendly they were! After lunch we spent a few more hours ripping around the back country before heading back to base. Some of the group were lucky enough to see our resort manager, Andrew, put his sled in the ditch and do his best superman impression over the front of the sled into the pow, good thing it was soft!
