Off Piste Ski Courses in Meribel!

This season Basecamp are running a range of off-piste courses to suite all requirements! Aimed at intermediate to advanced skiers the focussed camps run from a from 1 – 10 weeks long, and include airport transfers, half board chalet living (ski in/ski out), three valleys ski pass, and 12 hours coaching from Meribel’s top backcountry coaches.
 
“The Three Valleys is famed for its expansive backcountry, and we are very proud of our coaching team, and know that anyone who spends a week or more with them will leave having experienced some of the most exhilarating runs of their life!” says Basecamp Director Will Hayler.

Quality Coaching!

All participants on the course will be supplied with Avalanche transceiver as part of their training. There is no substitute for knowledge and experience when skiing on off-piste terrain, and Pierre-Francois Papet, the Head Basecamp Performance coach has been skiing in Meribel for 39 years, and was a French Downhill racer in his prime. “When you are skiing off piste, every day is a new adventure! But it’s important to have a great respect for the mountains, and we are able to offer people a fantastic skiing experience and make sure that we are only skiing on suitable terrain,” says Papet.

Group Sizes

Groups sizes are limited to a maximum of 6, and with the recent snowfall and popularity places are extremely limited.

Off Piste Course Dates

The course dates start on every Saturday from 11th January – 15th March:

One Week Course – Starts on 11th January 2014, and bookings are available each week with a Saturday start day, from £1,195
Two Week Course – Starts on 11th January 2014, with fortnightly changeover days – from £1,895
Three Week Course – Starts on 11th January 2014, 1st February and 22nd February – from £3,295
Four Week Course – Starts on 11th January and 8th February – from £2,995 (self-catered in an apartment)
Ten Week Course – Starts 11th January – from £5995 (self-catered in an apartment)

Catered Chalet Living

The primary accommodation for these courses is in Chalet Les Matines, Basecamp's own chalet in the heart of Meribel. The chalet is ski in ski out, and customers will be provided with breakfasts and suppers for 5 days of the week.

Self-Catered Option

If you prefer to cook your own meals, or are on more of a shoestring then we have a handful of apartments in Morel, Meribel which are available for the 4 week course, and 10 week course.
