Meribel is Dumping!!
This morning there was fifteen centimetres of snow down in Meribel and the snow under foot creaked like the door to castle Dracula. The mountains are hidden behind a blanket of cloud at the moment and the roads are receiving attention as the driving conditions are now more precarious than they were yesterday. Caution is advised until the roads are cleared properly.
“Winter is finally here!”
There is more snow forecast for the rest of the day and patches of sunshine returning at the weekend with cold temperatures for the rest of the week. Saturday sees the official opening of the lifts in Val Thorens and Courchevel are offering a free ski day, so no excuse not to make it out on the pistes this weekend! Get out ASAP!
