Bonjour everyone,

Again, it's easy for me to say, but we have had another awesome week in the mountains. It's been a very busy one, with 26 of our guys doing their BASI Level 1 last week. Well done to everyone that passed, I am very pleased with the pass rates and wish you all very good luck with the preparation for level 2. On Friday night, I organised a Basecamp night out and booked the whole of victors restaurant which was fantastic. The restaurant did us a great deal and everyone was fed in time for a few drinks in the famous MBC nightclub and Val d'Isere's mega club, Doudune, a place which makes you forget that you are dancing under the slopes and instead feel like you are in the middle of London. It's quite a strange feeling walking outside onto the nursery slopes and back to the apartments.

Today one of the performance ski groups went to Savoie, a nearby ski resort with great off piste. The guys got up early this morning and have been there all day and word on the grapevine is that they have had an incredible day. The other group and myself are heading there tomorrow and I will most certainly be catching everything on camera, photos and videos to follow.

This week for the trainee instructors is a relaxed one, giving them a bit of time to enjoy the slopes after their Level 1. Their coaching will become more intense next week and then they have a straight line through to the exam in March. It's that time of the season where hard work, early nights and early starts really pays off in the long term.

Sadly on Sunday we had a few guys leave, Henry Irving, Gareth and Stephen Glyn and Joe Longbottom. If you guys are reading this it was great to meet you and you brought many happy moments to the course, we all miss you. Again, unfortunately, we have a group leaving on Sunday, however that's Sunday and today is Wednesday…

On Friday night we are having an apres session at Saloon and Guillame (French operations) is paying us a visit which will be great. For now please enjoy the video and photos and until next time…

Thanks
Tom
