Big Snowfall and Awesome Comps in Banff

Freeride Air.jpg
March can bring some amazing conditions to Banff and this year was a record breaker, as we are currently enjoying the snowiest March ever at Lake Louise and there’s still 5 days to go.

March is also a massive Month for competitions at the Lake as well, this year we had 11 events ranging from racing, freeride to rail jams and everything in-between.

The Lake Louise Big Mountain Challenge is one of the bigger competitions with some of the best skiers from across the country converging on the backside of Lake Louise. This event really draws on the amazing terrain that’s on offer and with all the snow this month all kinds of new lines were available for those who looked carefully. Have a highlights of the boys division, taking some incredible lines are really pushing his skiing ability to the max.

The big snowboard event this month would have to be the Volcom Peanut butter rail Jam. This is part of a series of rail jams that takes place across North America with the winners from each event getting invites to the Finals in California at the end of the season. Have a look at the recap below.

As you can see Lake Louise is on the front line of the Canadian ski industry, attracting the nations best skiiers and boarders, and with all the snow fall we've been having already we are seriously pumped for the next few weeks ahead!
