Banff Level 1 Exam Week Recap

CASI courses in Banff.jpg
Week four of the Banff 11 week course was a big one for everyone here in Canada. 3 weeks of training were put to the test as everyone went through the Level 1 instructor exams. The exams are run by the Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance(CSIA) and the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors(CASI). All of the trainers at the Lake Louise snow school are working examiners so all the Basecampers were more than prepared for the test. We are proud to say that the hard work of both our guys and the trainers has paid off and we had a 100% success rate on the exams!

After the exam it was time to celebrate, everyone went out for dinner at Chili’s together then we mad our way through town on a bit of a pub crawl before ending up at the Hoodoo Lounge. Hoodoo has been great to use this season, giving us VIP privileges whenever we turn up, thanks guys!

Next week we the trainers will ramp up the level of skiing in preparation for the level 2 exams and it looks like we have more snow in the forecast so make sure you keep your eyes on this space for more updates.
