Banff 11 Week Instructor Course, Week 3 Wrap Up

So we are really starting to get into the thick of things here in Banff. Week three was everyone’s last week of training before the Level 1 so the group put their noses to the grindstone while on snow. The Trainers at the Lake Louise Snow School spent the week helping everyone work through some practice teaches in order to get them prepared for the exams. Thankfully there is always still time to take some fun runs as we had another dusting of snow later in the week. The fresh snow combined with some good winds meant that the backside of the resort had some amazing pockets of snow built up.
 
  Off snow we have been organizing all kinds of fun events for the groups. Banff has nightlife to suit everyone’s tastes and we have been trying to sample it all. Last week we checked out bingo at the legion, which is always a great time. Tom took the group to the Paddock  Pub for a quiz night, thankfully everyone’s skiing is better than their trivia skills.
          
  One of the guys on course, Jack, had his birthday last Saturday. We celebrated by getting some sweet Hawaiian shirts, fake mustaches and heading to the Stoney Nakota Casino outside of the Town of Canmore.
