Its been a week of powder, sun and park here in Meribel along with some of the funniest crashes seen by man on the Courchevel Luge run. Overall its been a big week with great weather and some epic socials to finish off.

BASIIMG_9492

The two BASI groups have been active this week looking at some other areas of skiing. This has seen them spend some time in the park, some off-piste skiing and quite a bit looking at their technique at higher speeds. The week has taken them all over the 3 Valleys with instructors Jeffers and Mike and in the coming week they look forward to shadowing some of the BASS training groups.

Performance CoursesIMG_9726

Week 4 has seen a big increase in the number of people on Performance Courses in Meribel and thus we split into two groups with Dom the Italian Stalion taking the more advanced and Precision Pierre taking the other group. They have as always been ranging all over the 3 Valleys working hard on their technique in all sorts of snow conditions. The beginning of the week has seen some epic powder before moving into the park and other off-piste before the end.

SocialsIMG_9905

With no socials the week before due to BASI 1 assessments week 4 was a week of epic socials. The week started on the Sunday night with a 90’s party in Jacks Bar before moving to Meribel vs Chambery Ice Hockey on Tuesday. On Friday we hired a minibus and went on the fast paced Luge run of Courchevel where many a crash was seen but everyone came away with a huge smile. The week ended with a trip to La Plagne and Les Arc using the free day available on the 3 Valley Lift pass. Despite passing from sunlight to cloud many times due to an inversion a great day was had by all (and some big lunches).

Next WeekIMG_0094

Next Week sees more of the same with BASI and Performance continuing in super sunny conditions. Social wise next week there is bowling planned for Wednesday and transceiver find and seek for the end of the week. Below is a short video of the weeks events.
