Banff 11 Week Instructor Course, Post Exam Recap

Well its time for another update from the team in Banff again and we had quite a lot happen the past week. The level 1 exam wrapped up and we had an amazing success rate(as usual). A Special thanks to all the trainers at the Lake Louise Snow School and congrats to everyone for putting in a solid effort.

After the exam we went out to blow off some steam, things started off with a great steak dinner at the Keg in Banff then it was on to the devils gap for some drinks and foosball before moving on to the Dancing Sasquatch for some late night shenanigans.

Everyone had a well-deserved day of rest on Thursday the group was back into the swing of things on Friday, one of the extra certifications we offer is an emergency first aid course, giving those who take the course an extra advantage when applying for instructor positions in the future. Those who did the course spent the day learning how to provide first responder medical care to a wide variety of injuries.

We had a little bit of fresh snow over the past few days so everyone’s return to training has been awesome. This coming week we take the skills learned on the level 1 and adapt them to some more of the challenging terrain Lake Louise has to offer, its supposed to dump snow all week so its going to be a great time. -Andrew
