What Skis do I need for a Ski Instructor Course?

Choosing the correct ski's for a ski instructor course will help hugely with one's ability to be able to pass the qualifications. Skiing on the correct ski's is an important as having a good ski jacket or warm gloves. Whilst it might be tempting to splash out a set of Armada JJ's to compliment your brand new 4 sizes to big dope salopettes, it's not going to do one any favours when it comes to waiting your turn to find out whether you have passed BASI Level 2! Buy your first set of ski's for your course and then dabble for a deal in resort on a second hand pair of Black Crows for those dreamy powder days. 

A general rule of thumb for instructor courses is below 75! By this we mean buy a pair of ski's with a sidecut of below 75mm. For those not in the 'sidecut' know, the sidecut is the width of the ski under foot. Instructor courses focus on piste performance – short turns, long turns, bumps and variables. A ski with a sidecut under 75mm is automatically boosting your potential to be able to ski to the required level. Investing in a instructor course is a big decision, so back yourself to carry on making good decisions.
