One of the best glacier resorts in Europe!
One of the biggest and best resorts in the French Alps, Les 2 Alpes offers glacier skiing, one of the best snowparks in the world and some of the finest après in Europe!
Les 2 Alpes is a topsy-turvy resort, with the more challenging runs lower down the mountain, and easier cruising runs up at the top. The glacier means that real snow is guaranteed throughout the season and the award-winning snowpark is not to be missed.
Located high in the Ecrins mountain range, Les 2 Alpes is one of the highest skiable summits in the world. As well as the main village, which is home to around 30 bars, as well as a lovely chocolatier and some of the coolest snowsports brands, a trip down to the lower village of Venosc is well worth it, to enjoy its cobbled streets, independent shops and fantastic restaurants.
We all want this winter to be a successful one; a winter full of fun, achievement, great skiing and new friendships. We believe these can all be achieved so long as we follow certain Covid safety procedures. But we're realists too... we could be forced to cancel our courses if the situation deteriorates. Here we outline our Covid-19 Booking Policy.
Les 2 Alpes boasts 222km of pistes served by 47 lifts. It’s somewhat of a topsy-turvy resort in that the easier runs are at the top of the mountain, with the more challenging piste lower down. This means that skiers of all levels are able to enjoy the very best snow conditions on the wide glacial runs at 3600m.
This doesn’t mean that the more advanced skiers are forgotten at Les 2 Alpes – as well as some tricky runs lower down the mountain, there’s said to be as much off-piste as groomed piste at this resort.
And for the freestylers, the snowpark – Freestyle Land - is one of the best regarded in Europe. For over a decade the team has reshaped the award-winning park each year, to create new challenges, including a halfpipe, multiple kickers, two boardercross courses and many grinding rails.

Les 2 Alpes is said to have one of the most vibrant après scenes of any resort in France – the town boasts around 30 bars!
With its reputation as a bit of a party resort, Les 2 Alpes has a noticeably younger clientele than many resorts. And this is reflected in the fact that it’s one of the cheaper resorts in the French Alps in terms of eating and drinking out. One of our top tips for food is Crepes a Gogo, which serves the best crepes in town, as well as raclette and fondue.
Every December the resort hosts Rise Festival, which is considered one of the best ski and music festivals in the world. Past acts have included Craig David, Annie Mac, Clean Bandit, Sigma, CamelPhat and Gorgon City.
The party generally starts at Pano Bar, which really is the biggest après spot in town. Located at 2600m, at the top of the main lift from the resort, there are DJs and dancing every afternoon from 3pm – 5pm. Continue the party at Umbrella Bar where you can warm up under the huge umbrella tent with a beer and live DJs. And if dancing ‘til dawn is your thing, Smithy’s Tavern is the biggest club, and is famous for its DJs and live performances.
For a cosier, alpine feel, the Polar Bear Pub takes the form of a traditional mountain cabin, with a wood-burning fire suspended from the ceiling. Here they serve craft beers and host live music at least five times a week. Plus, you can have your photo with a giant polar bear!
And when you’ve had enough of partying, floodlit skiing is offered several times a week!
