The Heart of the Rockies!
Banff is one of the world's most unique stunning locations, and is home to Canada's largest ski area. Based in the middle of a national park, it boasts first class training, uncrowded pistes, epic powder, unspoilt views and a buzzing nightlife, and is widely regarded as one of world's skiing and snowboarding epicentres.
Banff is home to three resorts and we run our courses in Lake Louise, which was voted Canada's Best Ski Resort in the 2013 World Ski Awards. It's the largest of the three, boasts the most varied terrain, has an amazing powder section, great long runs, lots of challenging steep sections, the best park in Banff, and it also employs the most ski instructors which means that the chances of returning as an instructor in following seasons are great.
During the course you'll live in a 3* Hotel in the centre of Banff, arguably Canada's great ski town, is full of some of the best skiers and boarders around, and has a great selection of restaurants, pubs, bars, shops clubs and even has a cinema.
LAKE LOUISE - All training is based at the epic, stunning, and dramatic Lake Louise Ski Resort. The area has spectacular scenery with uniquely amazing terrain, and is a perfect environment for instructor or performance coaching. With 4200 acres of skiable terrain it is one of the largest ski areas in North America. There are runs to suit all levels, no crowds, plenty of dry powder, and the unique layout caters well for large groups who are looking for an incredible time. There are endless chutes, gullies, parks and pistes for the more advanced rider and Basecamp take full advantage of this awesome playground.
The ski area is based between four mountains: Front Side & South Face, Ptarmigan, Paradise Bowls, Back Bowls and Larch. Between here you'll find everything you need for a lifetime of riding!
SKI SCHOOL - The Lake Louise Ski School is the largest in Alberta, the second largest in Canada, and has the highest ratio of top qualified instructors on its books. By working uniquely and directly with them it means anyone who graduates from a Basecamp course has tbe best possible chance or employment in the following season.
