The British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) is the UK training and grading provider for snow sports instructing and is a member of the ISIA (International Ski Instructors Alliance). The ISIA organisation aims to provide an equal balance and quality between the different international governing bodies around the world. BASI is well recognised within the ISIA due to the high level of techinque, skill and understanding of the teaching theory required to qualify as a snow sport instructor.

Basecamp were the first organisation to run BASI Ski Instructor Courses and BASI Snowboard Instructor Courses (now widely referred to as BASI GAP courses) in Europe back in 2002. Pioneering the market, and speaking volumes for how we are perceived in the industry today.

BASI Ski or BASI Snowboard? Both are excellent and well recognised qualifications to gain international recognition.

BASI 2

For instructors that wish to work in the mountains on a part time or peak seasonal basis. BASI level 2 riders have a competent knowledge, ability and understanding to safely teach up to and including an intermediate standard.

Which Course: All 7, or 10 week courses in France
Employment Opportunities: Europe, New Zealand, North America and Canada (to work in France you will need Test Technique).
