Exciting Times at Basecamp Meribel!
This week kicked off with an impressive culinary effort by Basecamp Curry Guru Greg, who prides himself not only on his spice mixing skills, but also on his commitment to eye safety both on and off the hill…
In terms of what’s been happening on the hill, our beloved BASS trainer, Jeffers, has been putting the boys through their paces , fine-tuning their skills in preparation to sit their BASI Level 1 Exam next week. There have been a few short turns, a few long turns, a bit of lesson preparation…
We actually have a space or two left on our exam week next week, so if you fancy joining in the fun AND walking away with an amazing qualification to boot, check out our latest information page (http://www.basecampgroup.com/blog/8570114-basi-courses-exam-fees-only) and give the guys in the office a call!
There hasn’t been so much sun in Meribel this week, but look what the top of the Saulire summit turned on for those committed few who stayed out late on Tuesday afternoon:
This week we also kick started our inaugural Weekly Insty competition at Basecamp HQ, with our lucky winner Greg taking home a fancy bottle of booze for his amazing collection of photos and video grabs detailing the first few weeks of Basecamp in Meribel. Here's a quick example of his fine work:
But make sure you get onto Instragram or Twitter and check out all the great updates from the guys at #bcmeribel and #welovewinter!
We’ve got some friends and family of our Basecamp crew coming out to visit over the next few weeks, some staying right at the heart of Basecamp HQ in the self-catered apartment, nestled in under the Basecamp Chalet on the piste in Meribel. The snowfall is seriously picking up over the next few weeks (yay!), so if anyone else fancies a visit, check out Tom’s blog post from earlier in the week (http://www.basecampgroup.com/blog/8560114-available-accommodation-meribel) and get in touch – it would be great to see you out here!
Stay tuned for a video update over the weekend!
