Below is an idea of how a 4 week schedule might look

Week 1 - Introduction, orientation and mountain awareness
Week 2 - Carving, racing and downhill development
Week 3 - Short radius, bumps and off-piste terrain
Week 4 - All mountain riding - old school v new school

Off the Mountain

You’ll be staying in centrally located appartments, with a Resort Manager to assist you through the course who’ll monitor your course and organize social events. You’ll receive Basecamp clothing, and also get involved in the variety of the resort events on offer.

There are no qualifications on this course. But we will put you through an Avalanche awareness course to develop your all round mountain education.

If you are looking to gain qualifications on your Basecamp course, checkout one of our Instructor courses or if you are torn between our Performance course training and our Instructor Training, check out our all new All Mountain Courses.

Who is this course best suited to?

Anyone looking to push their performance to the next level, but dosen’t see themselves returning season after season to work as a ski coach.  Your skiing will develop immensely during the four weeks, and give you a great stepping stone to take on the industry at a later date if this is an avenue you decide to walk down.

How good do you have to be at Skiing before the course?

As a standard we say that you have to be able to be comfortable skiing red runs before the start of the course.
If you would like to head out to the resort before hand in order to have a week or two's skiing and dust off the cobwebs please speak to your course advisor, as this is something we can arrange.

What if I suddenly realize I want to become a Ski Instructor?

There are plenty of opportunities to get your ski instructor certificates, your Basecamp course advisor will give you the best options if you decide that this is the way you would like to take your skiing.

What if I'm travelling on my own?

The majority of people will do this course as solo travellers. There is a large Basecamp community in resort, a good vibe in the chalet, and your Resort Manager will make sure you're quickly introduced to everyone.
