Bariloche - the Mountain

Bariloche offers fantastic southern hemisphere skiing and snowboarding for all levels. The scenery provides for some of the best mountain views in the world, far different from the over populated French Alps or Canadian Rockies resorts, here it’s you, the mountain, the weather and your mates… what more could you want!

The recent unification of it's ski areas offers 600 hectares of skiable surface divided into 53 well-signalled runs of various difficulties, reaching 2,000 meters above sea level. There are 40 lifts that transport over 35,000 people per hour up the mountain.

Punta Princesa is the highest area and the snow remains here up until  late October. De la Garganta, Pista Seis and Del Bosque is better suited to more advanced skiers and snowboarders with some challenging runs that can get your heart racing.

Out of all the runs “Amancay” is often a favourite winding through the forest. Constant views of the Patagonian lakes, and mountain landscapes will confirm in your mind that Bariloche is a  southern hemisphere skiing and snowboarding paradise.
