Winter winds down in style
As our 11 week courses come to an end we look at back at a season to remember… and boy has it been good!
Not only have there been record snowfalls across Europe and North America, but Base Camp has produced its best ever pass rates!
Meribel – Level 1 100% Level 2 100%
Val d’Isere – Level 1 100% Level 2 90%
Banff – Level 1 93% Level 2 93%
Whistler – Level 100% Level 2 87%
Changing with the times
In Europe we have adapted to BASI’s new course structure and accommodated changes in courses, particularly the new Level 1, as well as a more thorough requirement in Ski School Experience and Child Protection.
A huge thank you should go out to Base Camp and English Ski team coach Dave Morris for his input into the programme and all our clients in Meribel for their spectacular results.
Likewise the team over Alliance produced a great series of results for the snowboarders and considering it was the only gap year course in France (after BASI and Peak leaders cancelling their courses) it speaks volumes of the consitency of the training we provide.
Across the pond
In North America the courses in Banff and Whistler also continued their excellent run of high pass rates.
With more and more riders taking the CASI Freestyle Level 1 we have begun a consultation process to integrate this more closely into the 11 week training.
A special mention must go out to Guy Dale who was awarded a sponsorship contract by Whistler Blackcomb after his courser to continue his training next year!
Hopefully by now sore heads have recovered and we wish all our new alumni well as they take up their first jobs over Easter or down under the summer! If you need any help finding a job teaching please feel free to contact our UK office for advice.
Thanks again to all our coaches. We hope everyone has enjoyed the fantastic snow this winter as much as we have.
