If you are interested in learning more about the industry and getting some valuable work experience then this could be the opportunity for you.
 
Base Camp offer 3 - 6 month internship programmes throughout the year starting in September, January and April where you will be involved with one of the leading small businesses in the British adventure sports industry.

An intern should leave a programme with a good understanding of historical as well as current developments in the travel market, a good insight to how a small business operates, and transferable skills accross a wide range of areas such as customer service and project management.
 

Job Specification

You will be required to help with all aspects of the business and assisting its directors but the main roles are:

a. Assisting in all aspects of selling a holiday or course, including writting itineraries, making reservations, answering telephone enquiries and preparing final documents.

b. To assist with various marketing and PR projects, including direct mail campaigns, updating the website and attending trade exhibition shows.

c. Assisting in office administrative duties, including printing out and posting daily brochure requests, filing, IT support, other paperwork as required and managing and entering data.

A salary will be discussed at job interviews. Office skills, previous work experience and a fun and enthusiastic approach are all beneficial.
