Compulsory insurance for your course
Insurance is compulsory on all Base Camp courses, and as all payments are non-refundable, we recommend you take out insurance before the time of the first invoice.
UK Clients
Base Camp recommends Travel and General Insurance Company, and we’ve negotiated a special policy with them for Base Camp clients.
Though recommended by us for its comprehensive nature, the TGIC policy does not cover every eventuality, so you need to be happy with the policy yourself. We would also emphasise that the insurance policy is a personal arrangement solely between you and the insurer.

Please make sure you have read and fully understood the policy before the start of the course. If you wish to arrange your own insurance, Base Camp will require proof of cover before you start the course. Any such cover must be no less favourable than that provided by TGIC's policy.
For more information or to discuss any aspect of the TGIC policy please contact the Base Camp Team on 020 7243 6222 or you can contact TGIC directly on 0845 3456 078.
European Clients
For European residents requiring insurance cover, Base Camp recommends the following brokers:
www.worldwideinsure.com
www.24drtravel.com
www.globelink.uk.com
www.pjhayman.com
Other Clients
For clients resident in a country outside Europe, Base Camp recommends arranging a reliable and comprehensive insurance policy through a broker local to your country. This will ensure that you’re fully protected and covered in case repatriation is required.
