Bariloche offers ski-able terrain for all levels of ability.

From this season on, the unification of its ski areas will offer 600 hectares of skiable surface divided into 53 well-signaled runs of various difficulties, which reach 2,000 meters above sea level.

40 lifts can transport over 35,000 people per hour up the mountain and 60% of the runs are for the intermediate level. Punta Princesa, where snow remains till late October permitting spring skiing, is recommended for all levels. De la Garganta, Pista Seis and Del Bosque will be enjoyed especially by the advanced skiers.

The run Amancay goes through the forest providing a unique landscape meanwhile De las Nubes and Carlitos are challenging for even the most advanced skiers.

BASI

basibadge.jpgThe British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) is the national governing body for ski and snowboard instructing in the UK.

BASI is a member of the ISIA and Eurogroup and it's ski & snowboard qualifications are the most widely accepted in Europe.

The BASI system is split up into 4 levels (1 being the easiest), each becoming progressively more difficult. To become a ski or snowboard instructor you need to pass two examination courses: a 5 day Level 1 Course and a 10 day Level 2 Course.

Both courses are included in our European instructor programmes and develop an understanding of BASI's Central Theme, the structure of snowsports in the UK, the principles of teaching and the technical elements of skiing or snowboarding.
